The next day John had to play the final at 4PM, which he won in another 4 hour epic.In winning the 1980 Open, John defeated 3 of his greatest ever rivals, Lendl QF, (4-6,6-3,6-2,7-5), Connors SF, (6-4,5-7,0-6,6-3,7-6) and Borg in the Final,(7-6,6-1,6-7,5-7,6-4).
