First up, in tennis, American Andy Roddick was at his best in the final of the Dubai Tennis Championships this weekend. He toppled the unseeded Spaniard Feliciano Lopez 6-7 6-4 6-2 to capture his 25th career title and second this year. He beat world's number two and three on the way to the final. [Andy Roddick, Winner Dubai Championship]: "It's up there, just because of the quality of people I was able to beat this week. To beat Djokovic and to beat Nadal and to come and win a tough final after losing the first set it's big for my confidence and hopefully I can use it for the rest of the year." Lopez, who matched Roddick in aces took the first set and held the opening game of the second set. But mistakes and a double fault let the American back into the match. Now, to India, for more tennis as former world number one Serena Williams showed her class in winning her first title of the season. She beat Swiss world number 12 Patty Schnyder in the final of the Bangalore Open 7-5 6-3. Playing in her first tournament since the Australian Open quarter-final, Williams was still a little inconsistent but had enough experience to edge out the fourth seed. And finally, the men's British hockey team has won their place at the Olympics later this year with a 2-0 victory over India. Both goals were scored early on in the first half. [Jason Lee, Great Britain Coach]: "So I'm not surprised we were two-nil up. I'm not surprised that we then ended up having to graft for ten minutes. I'm not surprised that we then ended up coming into the game as the game continued. I'm disappointed that we didn't take another goal and kill the game off." The second World Hockey Olympic Qualifier was played in Santiago Chile. India's Prabhjot Singh won Best Player of the tournament.
