Steffi Graf Backhand Topspin Drive down the line. There is a passingshot version of this shot in the archive. Here is the regular version of the shot. Watch in the replay how Steffi addresses the ball with the face of her racquet. If you look closely, you will see that she almost addresses the ball as if she is going to hit a slice backhand, but inverts the action of her hand/wrist to create the topspin shot. How interesting.
